Target Baby Registry: Create a registry to get a free welcome kit! You'll have to go to Target to pick it up, or it will ship with a $35 order. Here's what I scored in January 2022 in my Target baby registry welcome kit:

  • 3 Huggies Little Snugglers Size 1 diapers

  • 1 Pampers Swaddlers Newborn Diaper

  • 10 pack Water Wipes

  • 10 pack Honest Wipes

  • 6 pack Pampers Sensitive Wipes

  • Boogie Wipes saline wipe

  • MAM 4 ounce bottle with pacifier

  • Dr Brown's 4 ounce bottle

  • Johnson's Baby Lotion (very generously sized sample!)

  • 2 Lanishoh breastmilk storage bags

  • 2 Lanishoh nursing pads

  • Upspring Milk Flow breastfeeding supplement, one serving

  • Dreft Newborn liquid laundry detergent, one use

  • Dr Palmer's Stretch Mark lotion sample packet

  • Shea Moisture Baby Wash sample packet

Target advertises their welcome kit as a $150 value, so I had higher expectations and was a little disappointed. But, free is free! I think I'll use all of the samples when my baby arrives, but I was much more impressed with my Amazon welcome box- see what I got here!

Amazon Baby Registry: Use this link to create a registry. You must be a prime member & $10 must be purchased from your registry before your free box will ship. (I added the prenatal gummies I buy every month anyways to my registry, then bought them for myself.)

What was included:

  • 3 Huggies Special Delivery Size 1 diapers

  • 10 pack Water Wipes

  • Carter's bodysuit, size 3 months (very cute with zoo animals)

  • Comfy Cubs organic bamboo burp cloth

  • MAM 4 ounce bottle with pacifier

  • Hello Bello Lavender Hand Sanitizer spray (full size!)

  • Aquaphor Diaper Rash Cream, sample size

  • CeraVe Baby Lotion, sample size

  • Cetaphil Baby Wash, sample size

  • Smarty Pants Gummy Vitamins (2 gummies- serving size is 4)

  • Upspring Milk Flow breastfeeding supplement, one serving

  • Dreft Newborn liquid laundry detergent, one use

Overall, this was a very good value for the price ;) The onesie was adorable- don't know if it was that or the pregnancy hormones, but I teared up a bit thinking about my little girl in it! I will use all of the samples & I'm very excited to get a bottle. I read you should try out a few brands to see what your baby likes before buying a set, so getting one for free was the perfect way to do this.

I would strongly recommend everyone create a registry with Amazon for the welcome box, if nothing else! Also recommend registering with Target- check out what I got in their welcome box.

Peppermint is one of my favorite holiday flavors! In combination with white chocolate and milk chocolate, this festive treat is the perfect homemade gift.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4.4 ounce bar of white chocolate

  • 4.4 ounce bar of milk chocolate

  • peppermint essential oil

  • 1 tsp vegetable oil

  • 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Break the white chocolate into small pieces, add 1/2 tsp vegetable oil & microwave for 2 minutes or until melted, stirring every 30 seconds. Add 2 drops of peppermint essential oil and stir.

  2. Line a baking tray with parchment paper, and pour the melted white chocolate into a thin layer. Freeze for at least 15 minutes.

  3. Break the milk chocolate into small pieces, add 1/2 tsp vegetable oil & microwave for 2 minutes or until melted, stirring every 30 seconds. Add 2 drops of peppermint essential oil and stir.

  4. Pour the melted milk chocolate over the frozen white chocolate and top with crushed peppermints. Freeze for at least an hour

  5. Break up into peppermint bark shaped pieces.

RECIPE NOTES:

  • Don't worry about getting your chocolate layers smooth and perfect, the peppermint candy will cover any imperfections!

  • 2 drops of peppermint oil doesn't sound like much, but trust me! It's very concentrated and exceeding this will leave you with a very tingly mouth.
